Unity's Mobile and Wireless Computing Services are based on our skills in innovative new technologies such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, DB2 Everyplace, Palm computing platform and IBM's WebSphere Studio Device Developer.

Unity has been extensively involved in Palm development for the past two years. In fact, our developers have produced a JDBC driver for IBM DB2 Everyplace for the Palm months ahead of IBM's planned introduction!

Unity has produced technology for opportunistic communication. Wireless coverage is not universal and current "web clipping" applications work only when there is coverage. Unity has developed Java frameworks to allow applications to run on the Palm and function even when wireless communication is not available. When coverage becomes available, changes made by the application are automatically transferred to the server.
