Description
The purpose of this course is to teach Java in the context of developing a solution to a real-world problem domain. Scenarios are
used to provide context for layering the concepts of developing object-oriented applications using Java. Students will learn not
just the language and mechanics of Java, but also how to apply these principles in practice.
This course is taught using an Eclipse-based tool as a development environment (IDE). As such students will learn how to effectively
utilize the IDE as a development team in building object-oriented applications. You will understand the paradigm of Eclipse, how to use the
IDE to develop Java objects, how to manage code stream on development teams, and how to properly structure your team development process.
In addition, we focus on best practice principles for an organization adopting this tool.
