ED420: J2EE Web Application Development
Description
This course will arm participants with the skills necessary to effectively develop web-based applications using Eclipse-based Tools. Materials covered include web application architecture, servlet programming, JSP programming (including tag libraries), and business model integration. In addition, user interface design problems will be covered. Participants will learn how to use the J2EE Application Servers (Tomcat, WebSphere) to test and debug web applications.

Prerequisites
Participants should have already taken ED100, ED110+ED400, or ED410 – or have an equivalent knowledge of OOA&D, Java programming and Eclipse-based tools experience. Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and web scripting is highly recommended. Practical experience as a professional Java programmer is a plus.
