Summary
Increasingly, programmers are needing to make the transition from
procedural languages (e.g. Visual Basic) to object-oriented languages
like Java. In this workshop, we will (briefly!) cover some of the
more important conceptual differences between such development
methodologies, and introduce a 'real world' example to demonstrate
how a programmer models such a system with objects
This workshop is specifically targeted to Visual Basic programmers
and attempts to help bridge concepts from the VB world into the Java
and OO world. Additionally, we will introduce the WebSphere Studio
family of tooling to provide a comparable environment to what VB
developers may be used to.
